Delta Will is a genre bending group from Toronto that perform gorgeous and stunning songs that cannot be matched. Releasing their debut EP Transcendental Visits in 2013, the group followed up with the It All Glows EP soon after. The band recently released their full length album Weathering, which is a continuation of their past work, showing their audience that an artist can change and evolve with each record, while still retaining what makes them special and unique.

Opening with the brief track “Dawn Song,” Delta Will introduces us to their hypnotic sound that stays with us throughout the entire release, giving listeners a fresh perspective on not only pop music, but rock music as well. Beautifully done, the song brings fans into an almost meditative state, leaving us eager to hear more.

Sounding a bit like British indie band Bombay Bicycle Club on Weathering’s next tune “Are We Gonna Make It?,” Delta Will incorporate a wide range of sounds into their music that gives them a unique feel, something that has become rarer in modern music.

“I Will Receive It” is a soft ballad that closes out Weathering, focusing on front man Charles Tilden and his bold voice, as well as Brandon Johns dreamy basslines, and Lowell Whitty’s laid back drumming to round out “I Will…” and its slow and mellow feel. While Delta Will don’t primarily focus on jazz, this particular number is a tune that brings this genre into the mix, and we hope that the band will explore more of this brief experiment in future records, as they completely nail the bridging of rock, pop, and jazz.

With a myriad of genres represented throughout their latest effort, there is much creativity to be experienced on Weathering, making it sound like a boundless body of work that will be enjoyed immensely across a multitude of different audiences.
