J. Ven has released his new single “Barely Alive” which you can check out below, via J-14. Telling J-14 about the song, J. Ven says ”
“When I first ended the relationship that ‘Barely Alive’ is about I was determined to sort of put on this face and move on with my happy life without them. And I think that kind of attitude can be positive and useful, but for me, it was just a way to mask what I was really feeling– to not acknowledge that I was hurting.”
“I kept trying to write these upbeat melodies, but my heart just wasn’t there. ‘Barely Alive’ is the result of me putting my pride away, and dealing with the reality that everything wasn’t great and I wasn’t happy.”
