Jake McElfresh, also known as Front Porch Step, has decided to call off his plans to tour in 2015 after recent sexual harassment allegations against him. Earlier this week, Allison Weiss said that she plans to not join McElfresh on his UK tour due to the allegations. Have Mercy who were also supposed to tour with Jake, have decided to do the same thing as well. You can see a statement from them as well as from Front Porch Step.

“We, Have Mercy, in no way condone the alleged actions that have come to light over the past week, and hope that message above all is clear to our fans,” the band said. “Safety in music, and life, should never be risked for selfish decisions. We were incredibly excited at the opportunity to hit the road this spring, and that is still our top priority. ”

“I am aware of the serious allegations and sensational things being posted on the internet about me and my personal life. While this is personally difficult to experience, I am taking the appropriate, meaningful, and objective steps to address the severity of these things and the horrendous words being used. I would truly hope that others who have or will propagate these serious allegations will do the same.”

Kevin Lyman, founder of the Warped Tour, decided to cut his holiday vacation short due to the allegations, and has asked that bands do not e-mail him to ask if they can take Front Porch Step’s spot on the Warped Tour.

Most of the accusations against McElfresh include sending nude photographs to underage girls. Sexually explicit text messages have also been sent to and from underage girls as well. Several of these teenagers have shared their stories through Tumblr posts.
